Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residences certifies recovery residences in Pennsylvania against the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) standards, which cover safe housing, ethical operations, resident rights, and the level of structure a home provides. A certified home has agreed to be measured against those standards; an uncertified home is not automatically a bad home, but certification gives you something concrete to check.
